Bureaucracy

I don’t know if that’s how you spell Bureaucracy or not and I’m not sure the exact meaning of the word but Mex’s experience today seems to sum it up… He waited for over 8 hours just to turn in his medical exam results at the Consulate office! EIGHT HOURS! We won’t rant about it any more than that because who knows… the government probably scans blogs and websites for certain keywords and I don’t want to tick anyone off before tomorrow or April 17th when he has the most important interview. Needless to say it was a terrible day for both of us – him of waiting and me of worrying – but at least I know not to expect him back to the hotel tomorrow until 5 pm. I was so worried I even called our attorney in Minnesota as I was struggling to decide if I should take a taxi over there. However, I knew there was no way for me to contact him or let him know that I was there. We are planning on leaving Juarez (FINALLY!) at 6:30 or 7 am on Wednesday morning. Internet may be spotty over the few days after that but I should have some gorgeous pictures to post this weekend from our Copper Canyon trip!
